Changes to Our Proposals

Following our public consultation in summer 2024, as well as feedback from other consultees, we have amended our proposals for the land off Common Road.

The main changes we have made to the scheme are:

1. We have reduced the proposed number of new homes from 115 to 80, in order to move the homes further away from the scheduled monument at the southern end of the site.

2. We have relocated one of our attenuation basins, and our proposed play area, to the western side of the spine road.

3. We have added a circular footpath to the green space at the southern end of our side. This space will feature tree and wildflower planting and reflect the historic natural landscape of the area.

4. We have included new tree and hedge planting throughout, in the form of both planting along the site’s boundary and in general street landscaping.

5. We have reduced the “red-line” area of the site, in order to reflect the reduced number of homes.

As of December 2025, when this website was updated, our outline planning application is currently still with West Oxfordshire District Council, and has not yet been decided upon. The rest of this website has been left unaltered since the summer 2024 public consultation, to provide a reference for the proposals as they were when consulted on.
