Land south and west of Imberhorne Upper School, East Grinstead

Welbeck Land is promoting land to the south and west of Imberhorne Upper School, East Grinstead, for the development of new homes and community facilities.

The site is currently proposed for allocation for up to 550 homes and a range of community facilities in Mid Sussex District Council draft Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD), first published in October 2019 and updated in March 2020.

Welbeck has been promoting the site for development since 2015, not just to deliver a portion of the new homes required in East Grinstead, but also the crucial infrastructure needed in this part of the town, including a new primary school, land for the expansion of Imberhorne Upper School, and care accommodation for older people.

We have just updated our proposals for the site in response to the proposed allocation in the Site Allocations DPD, to provide infrastructure and facilities beyond what would normally be delivered on a site of this size.  Design work is ongoing, and no planning application for the site has yet been submitted.
